If you're taking exams in May 2027, plan on scores arriving in early July. The 2027 exams run May 3–14 — see the full 2027 AP exam schedule, and don't miss the November 13, 2026 registration deadline.

What Time Do AP Scores Come Out?

Scores are released at 8:00 AM ET on the release date. If you're in a different time zone:

Time Zone Release Time
Eastern (ET) 8:00 AM
Central (CT) 7:00 AM
Mountain (MT) 6:00 AM
Pacific (PT) 5:00 AM
Belgium / France (CET) 2:00 PM
UK (BST) 1:00 PM

The site often experiences heavy traffic right at release — expect slow loading times for the first hour.

How to Check Your AP Scores

  1. Go to collegeboard.org
  2. Sign in to your College Board account
  3. Click on "AP Scores" in your dashboard
  4. Select the year (2026)

If you don't have a College Board account, create one using the same email you registered for the exam with. Your AP ID (given by your school) can help link your scores if they don't appear automatically.

Do AP Scores Come Out at Different Times for Different Exams?

No — all AP exam scores for a given year are released at the same time. You don't get your AP Biology score before your AP Calculus score, or vice versa. All scores drop at once on the release date.

Can You See Your Scores Early?

No official early access exists. Any website or service claiming to give you early AP scores is a scam.

The only exception: some students report their scores appearing slightly earlier if they check from certain international time zones, but this is inconsistent and not guaranteed.

What to Do While You Wait for Scores

The wait from May to July is long. Here's what you can do in the meantime:

Can You Cancel or Hide Your AP Score?

Yes — College Board gives you two options if you're unhappy with a score:

Option What It Does Cost
Withhold Hides a score from a specific college or scholarship program. The score stays on your record and you can remove the withhold later. $10 per score, per college
Cancel Permanently deletes the score. It can never be reinstated. Free (exam fee not refunded)

You can cancel at any time, but to keep a score from reaching the college you picked for your free score send, College Board must receive the request by June 15 of the year you tested. Once a college has received a score, it can't be pulled back. Most students don't need either option — with Score Choice, you decide which scores to send in the first place.
