Why AP Psychology Has a High Pass Rate

Despite the high pass rate, AP Psych has real difficulty areas:
1. Volume of vocabulary AP Psych has one of the largest term lists of any AP exam — easily 200+ distinct terms. Students who try to cram in the last week consistently underperform. The vocabulary needs to be learned throughout the year.
2. Distinguishing similar concepts Classical vs. operant conditioning. Reliability vs. validity. Dissociative disorders vs. depersonalization. Many terms sound similar and are frequently confused on MC.
3. Research methods questions A consistent ~10-15% of the MC covers research design, statistics, and ethics. Students who skip this unit often miss 10–15 questions. This is the hardest unit for most students.

How to Score a 5 on AP Psychology
